Okra fried in corn meal

 

Use 1/2 to 1 pound fresh okra

Canola oil spray

Peanut oil

Corn meal

Garlic salt

Italian seasoning

 

Wash and cut okra, removing tails and heads (kill them first to avoid unnecessary trauma)

Heat peanut oil in fry pan to HOT as you can without burning

Put okra in large plate,

Spray okra with canola oil, use garlic salt and cover with corn meal and Italian seasoning

Turn over okra and repeat on the other side

Fry okra, turning to brown on all sides
